A Complete Visual Arts Program brought to your school
SimplyArt brings a structured, curriculum-aligned art program directly to elementary classrooms across the Greater Toronto Area. We handle the instructor, the materials, the lesson plans, and the parent communication. Your school provides the space and the students. Everything else, we take care of.
What We Deliver
A qualified art instructor who arrives on time, teaches the lesson, and packs out cleanly at the end. No setup or cleanup required from your staff.
All materials, pre-portioned per student. We bring everything — paper, paints, brushes, foam stamps, yarn, clay, sketchbooks, smocks. Nothing is purchased or stored on your end.
A structured curriculum aligned to the Ontario visual arts curriculum — Grades 1–6 expectations across Creating and Presenting, Reflecting and Responding, and Exploring Forms and Cultural Contexts. Lesson plans available on request.
Three levels — Sprouts (K–2), Explorers (3–4), and Makers (5–6). The lesson depth matches the age group in the room.
Parent communication handled by us. Registration, payment collection (for parent-pay programs), permission tracking, and post-lesson take-home notes for families.
How a Session Runs
A typical SimplyArt lesson is 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the grade level. Every session follows the same structure:
Arrival and setup. Our instructors arrive 15 minutes before the session with pre-set materials. Tables are arranged before students enter.
Lesson opening. A short warm-up introduces the artist, country, or theme. Students learn the technique they'll use that day.
Making. Students work hands-on for the bulk of the session, with the instructor circulating to support and challenge each child.
Closing reflection. Students share their work with a partner or the class to deepen the engagement and fun.
Pack-out. Our instructors clean the space and removes all materials. Finished pieces are stored in each student's portfolio folder at our academy until the end of the unit, when the full portfolio comes home.
Program Formats
Weekly programs. An 8-week unit runs once a week across one term. Best for after-school clubs, enrichment blocks, and recurring in-school programming. Students complete a full themed unit and bring home an 8-piece portfolio at the end.
One-time workshops. A single 60–90 minute session, themed to your school's calendar — PA days, holiday workshops, school events, themed weeks. Each child finishes with a piece to take home that day.
Custom programs. Have a curriculum tie-in, an event, a parent council fundraiser, or a Heritage Month focus? We design the program around your need.
What We Ask of Your School
We've designed SimplyArt to add as little to your team's plate as possible. Here's what we need:
- A room with tables and chairs for the number of students enrolled
- Access to a sink for water-based materials (or we bring our own water)
- A staff member on-site in line with your supervision policy
- A point of contact for scheduling and any parent communication that flows through your office
That's it. No supply orders. No setup. No cleanup. No prep time for your teachers.

Pricing
Programs start at $15/student, depending on format, length, and group size.
We offer flexible models:
- Parent-pay — families register and pay directly through SimplyArt; the school provides space at no cost
- School-funded — the school covers the full program cost as part of curriculum enrichment
- Hybrid — partial school subsidy with parent contribution
Final pricing depends on program length, age band, group size, and material upgrades (Studios-level materials include real bamboo brushes, watercolour palettes, and clay). We provide a clear written quote within two business days of your enquiry.
